Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Just Eat Takeaway.com.
Talent Acquisition Coordinator
My first interview for the Talent Acquisition Coordinator role at Just Eat Takeaway was a phone call with the recruiter. She mentioned I'd hear back within a week, but it's been over 3 weeks now. I've followed up twice, but still no update. It's frustrating when companies ghost candidates and don't provide status updates.
- Can you introduce yourself and explain your interest in Just Eat Takeaway?
Talent Acquisition Partner
The process involved meeting with the tech talent manager in Berlin, then the tech talent manager in the Netherlands, followed by a meeting with the general tech talent acquisition manager from the UK. After that, there was a team interview. The final stage was an offer. I have to say I had the worst candidate experience with this company; they extended me an offer, and because I asked questions about relocation, they withdrew the offer in a simple email, playing with all my hopes for this opportunity. It was really the worst process and experience ever.
- Can you tell me about the types of roles you've been seeking?
- Regarding sourcing, how crucial do you find it in your role as a recruiter?
Talent Acquisition Partner
Applied online and got contacted within a week. The recruitment coordinator was very diligent in setting up the process and answering questions. The interview was a video call with two TAPs, running through experience and testing skill set. Was told it would be a longer process due to the number of interviews scheduled and advised two weeks after initial interview of the decline reasons. It was a process where I learnt a lot and the constructive feedback is something to work on for future interviews.
- Can you share how you leverage data to improve or enhance a recruitment process?
- Could you describe any projects you've been involved with that focus on D&I?
