Product Manager
The interview process involved three main stages: an initial HR chat, a meeting with the Hiring Manager who asked a lot of specific questions about my past experiences, and then a Case Study that I had to work on for about 4-5 days, which was pretty standard for product roles.
- Can you describe a product release that encountered significant issues or did not meet expectations?
Technical Product Manager
So the interview process started with an HR screening, then there was a technical interview, and it ended with a presentation round. I did the technical interview myself, and it was with one person who was a Senior Technical Product Manager. It was kinda weird because he said he wasn't from a technical background, which I thought was odd for a TPM role. The chat went well though, and they said I'd move on. But then I got an email saying I wasn't 'technical enough', which felt a bit off given the interview. My suggestion to management would be to have at least two people in technical interviews to make sure things are assessed fairly and to reduce any possible bias.
- Can you tell me about your experience with developer platforms?
- What is your experience with APIs?
Product Manager
This was the slowest hiring process I've ever experienced, from the first Hirevue interview in early December 2022 to the final interview at the end of March 2023, so definitely prepare for a long haul. The interviewers were nice and the questions weren't too hard, they just needed a solid grasp of the role and what it entails. In the end, they really prioritized cultural fit, which is something you can't really prep for.
- Why are you interested in Just Eat?
- Can you provide suggestions for product enhancements?
- How do you approach prioritization questions?
