The interview process involved a screening call, then a hiring manager interview, and finally a technical interview with two engineers. The interviews themselves were engaging and the interviewers were nice, but the experience with Talent Acquisition wasn't great. I was told the last interview would be coding, but it turned out to be technical. Also, TA ghosted me for a month after the interview, even though I followed up multiple times. When people spend a lot of time interviewing, they should at least get basic professional courtesy back.

Technical Coding System Design

The interview process at iCIMS was mostly okay, except for the communication from the Talent Acquisition Partner, which was the worst part. The stages were: Recruiter screening, Interview with a manager, Technical assessment, and a Final technical interview. The second manager I spoke with was supportive and open, even though he didn't have specific details about the role. However, after that, the Talent Acquisition experience really declined. I completed the technical assessment, which was easy, and then waited almost two weeks for an update, even after reaching out twice, before being told I was moved to the final round. The final technical interview went well, where I answered questions, solved a coding problem, and did a system design exercise. A few days later, I got a generic rejection email, and my polite request for feedback was ignored again. This also happened to a friend who applied for the same role and was ghosted for over a month after being told they'd get a screening call. The process restarted later with no explanation. This inconsistent experience was with the same Talent Acquisition Partner. The engineers and managers were great, but the Talent Acquisition communication was unprofessional and inconsistent, leading to unnecessary stress. iCIMS could improve the candidate experience with better communication, timely updates, and acknowledging follow-ups.

It was about 4 rounds. First it was the hiring manager, then the Tech director, then VP product, then VP design. It was a pretty decent interview process. They asked about my experience and how I would handle conflict and my leadership style. After all the discussion rounds, there was no decision made. About a month later, I received the standard rejection email without any proper feedback.

Behavioral Technical Other

You do a total of three interviews and then they send you a knowledge test and a personality test. I would say it was all great until about the last interview. They are super scrunched on time so make sure you're ready with your answers. I really felt like I was going to get the job. They hype you up so much and tell you how they can see you working for them just to deny you. I literally had to text my recruiter and message the customer service about 10 times to get a response on my application status.
