First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Forrester.
Customer Success Manager
Had a bad time with the hiring manager. When I asked about his management style, he said he wouldn't defend his team against criticism from sales. Career progression was mentioned; he said you have to do a job above your level, which makes sense. But then he mentioned Singapore and expecting a promotion in a few years, which felt like a bad stereotype. He also asked strange questions like how I'd handle harsh criticism and what's changed my mind recently, which don't seem related to being a CSM. I'm not sure how he's a leader in this field.

Revenue Development Representative
So I had this interview process with Forrester that was pretty solid, lasted about four weeks. Started with a chat with the recruiting lead, then moved on to talk to the hiring manager, a department head, one of the RDRs, and then a final presentation. It was a pretty standard setup, but honestly, the people there were just on another level. They really seemed to care, not just during the interviews, but even after. Even though I didn't get an offer, they were super nice about it, gave me good feedback, and cheered me on. They even kept in touch and offered support after it was all done. Funny thing is, I ended up taking a job at a company founded by someone from Forrester, and both the recruiting lead and the department head reached out to congratulate me. It just shows you the kind of culture they have. Seriously, if you're thinking about working at Forrester, go for it. The interview was a good experience, and if you get the job, you'll be working with some really great people.
- As part of the final stage, I was asked to do a presentation about a retail company, including analyzing its strategic objectives, identifying who to target, creating an outbound message, planning follow-ups, and introducing myself.
- The presentation task involved analyzing the retail organisation’s strategic objectives, identifying key decision-makers to target, crafting a tailored outbound message, outlining a follow-up plan in case of no response, and concluding with a brief introduction about myself and why I would be a strong fit for the role.
- My final stage task was to present on a retail organisation, covering its strategic goals, key people to approach, a customized outreach message, a plan for when there's no reply, and a short intro about me and my suitability for the position.
Technology
The interview process was quite lengthy, but it went very smoothly. It started with an HR call, followed by an interview with a teammate. After that, there were three interviews with members of other teams I would be collaborating with. The final step was a call with the hiring manager. Everyone I spoke with was very friendly, which made me feel comfortable and not stressed throughout the interviews. I received the offer in a timely manner. Unfortunately, my current company made a counteroffer, so I decided not to accept the role, but it was a really positive experience overall.

Digital Marketing Manager
I had a virtual interview with the HR manager and hiring manager. It seemed pretty standard and positive, giving a good overview of the company and highlighting how they are 'different' and 'care about people'. They expressed interest in me and my experience, and I was ready to move forward... but then they disappeared. I followed up a couple of times with no response. It was really disappointing, especially after they talked so much about being a good employer that cares about its staff. I would have been fine with a rejection, but ghosting candidates is really unfair, particularly now.
