Behavioral Presentation

I was contacted by a recruiter from Forrester via email, who was very professional and friendly. First, we had a phone call where she introduced the company, the role, and the interview process, and also asked about my interest and qualifications. Then, her colleague helped set up an online interview with the local team. During this interview, the panel asked several behavior-based questions. It's important to be well-prepared with detailed examples for these. I'd recommend having two or three examples ready that show how you've improved a system or handled tough situations in past roles, using the STAR method for your answers. I got feedback from the recruiter via email shortly after, and she also called to discuss my strengths, weaknesses, and offer advice. Overall, it was a good experience that I think will help me improve my interview skills.

Behavioral

I had a first round phone interview with a Forrester recruiter, and it went wonderfully. It was one of those interviews where you feel like it could not have gone better. At the end of the interview, she told me that it could take upwards of two weeks to hear back. This is a long time, but I thought it was well worth it. After two and a half weeks, I send an email checking in on my status (one of those emails where you're trying to not be too annoying but you also really need the information) but I never heard anything back. A number of weeks later, I saw the recruiter's name on another posting for an Associate Consultant at Forrester, so I sent her a message, but again, I didn't hear anything back. Forrester is still a brand name in the industry, so there's a good chance I'll end up applying for another position with them later in my career, but this experience has made me question how they treat people.

Behavioral Technical

The recruiter call went well, but the hiring manager interview was a disaster. From the beginning, it seemed like he didn't think I was a good fit. Even though I have a non-traditional background, I explained how my unique experiences would make me a valuable candidate. However, the hiring manager quickly stated my experience wasn't what they were looking for and that they had stronger candidates. I'm not sure why they interviewed me if they had already made up their mind, but it really left a bad impression. I withdrew my application right after.
