Had a phone screener with basic soft questions. Then I was called in for a 2-hour interview, with 30 minutes spent with 4 people. The talent acquisition people were fantastic and called on the following Friday to bring me back in for a second in-person. There was a small written assignment, but nothing crazy.

The interview process was way too long and inefficient, really showed a lack of best practices. The hiring manager asked me my age, which I'm pretty sure is illegal. It took forever to get through the stages. I made it to the final round after five one-on-one interviews, which involved a presentation to a panel of 7 people. They said they'd get back to me on Thursday or Friday, but I had to follow up on Tuesday of the next week to find out I didn't get the job. They didn't even have the decency to tell me right away after dragging things out for 8 weeks. I turned down another offer for this. The feedback was weird, they called me 'very emotional' and 'very mature' and thought I could do the job but not cope emotionally. It was a joke. I was really annoyed about having to chase them, especially after all the time and effort I put in. They were ageist, hypocritical, and lacked basic manners.

I was approached by a recruiter about a manager role that had been open for over a year. In total, I interviewed with seven people, including two phone screenings and one four-hour on-site interview. They seemed open and honest, but there was no closure. The hiring manager said I'd hear back within three days, but they didn't follow up, so I had to reach out for the final word. They provided limited feedback. The new building was nice but too quiet for a growth company; it lacked a buzz.
