First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Elevance Health.
Senior Director, Engineering
The hiring process was really smooth and professional. I got timely updates. There were 4 rounds in total: one with HR and three technical rounds. Scheduling was easy. The panel interview covered interesting next-gen technology topics. I highly recommend this company. The final interview was with the VP, focusing on overall technology, leadership, program, and budget management.
- Can you explain digital transformation and how engineering contributes to digital innovation?
Executive Assistant
I went through three rounds with four executives, which took about 3 hours. I explained my resume. We discussed the job requirements and I gave examples. They asked me about my skills and I had to provide examples of how I use them in day-to-day office work.

Care Manager
The interview itself was great! The Regional Manager for the Care Management position did a nice job of making me feel comfortable, it was personable, and I was able to relax and enjoy speaking with them. However, the communication from Elevance Health was disorganized. The virtual assistant company they use for scheduling, follow-ups, and offer communication might be the WORST virtual assistant company out there! This made the overall experience horrible and was the main reason I decided to decline the offer. I got the impression the company had mismanagement and was highly disorganized, which is not a work environment I would prefer.
- Tell me about your organizational skills.
- How do you handle demanding members?
- How do you prioritize your caseload?
Community Health Specialist
So I had a screening interview over Microsoft Teams with two people who currently work at Elevance Health. It was pretty short. They started by telling me about the job, that it's remote, and about the hours and what I'd be doing. I figured there'd be another interview, but nope. The recruiter called me about two weeks later and offered me the job. Then I started the onboarding through their Workday portal and signed the offer letter online.
- Were you asked about your ability to work from home remotely and ensure you had a hardwired internet connection for HIPPA Compliance?
- Was there a question about why you want this position?
