Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Elevance Health.
Director
We had a few panel interviews, all behavior-based. It was a straightforward process to check skills, experience, and cultural fit. It was a fun process overall, and I'd do it again. A good experience. A strong team there!
- Can you introduce yourself using five words or fewer?
Director
First, a recruiter screens you. Then, you go through several panel interviews with people at the same level as the hiring manager and people who are peers to the role. The very last step is an interview with the hiring manager. All questions were behavioral, looking for STAR responses.
- Tell me about a situation where you had to tackle a challenging problem as part of a cross-functional team. What was your strategy, and what outcome did you achieve?
Director
It was all virtual. Started with a 45min phone screen with recruitment, then an interview with the supervisor, followed by two 30min panel interviews. It was a good experience, allowing ample time for questions. They also sent over a list of common questions for the role and a benefits breakdown beforehand.
- Can you share an example of a challenging transition you faced in a previous position?
