First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Elevance Health.
Software Engineer Intern
It was a pretty standard phone interview that lasted about 15 minutes. They started by asking some questions to clarify my background and make sure I was eligible, and then they asked about my knowledge of their company and why I'm interested in working there.
- Can you tell me what you know about Elevance Health?
- What makes you want to work for Elevance Health?
Software Development Engineer
The role was listed as On-site but presented as Remote initially, which suited my schedule. The manager seemed nice and had his camera on at first. However, he then mentioned they needed someone on-site because the previous person held two jobs. At that point, I decided to withdraw before the coding part, as it was clear it wouldn't be a good fit. I then spoke with my recruiter to address the discrepancy with how the role was advertised.
- Could you start by telling me about yourself?
- Are you open to working on-site?
- Would you be prepared to complete a coding interview?
Software Engineer
It started with basics, then mostly data structures and a couple of programming challenges. It was more like a conversation, kind of pair programming. Towards the end, there were some SQL and design questions.
- Could you explain linked list concepts?
- Tell me about data structures.
- Let's work through some programming challenges.
