Executive Assistant
I went through three rounds with four executives, which took about 3 hours. I explained my resume. We discussed the job requirements and I gave examples. They asked me about my skills and I had to provide examples of how I use them in day-to-day office work.

Administrative Assistant
I got a call from an HR Coordinator after applying online for an initial phone interview where we talked about my background. The next week, the VP I would be supporting asked me to come in for a face-to-face interview the following week. I met with her and her team of 2 EAs and a project manager. It felt more like a relaxed conversation, and I was impressed. A few days later, on a Friday evening, the coordinator called to offer me the job with an hourly pay that was much lower than my minimum salary needs. Since no one had asked me about my salary requirements, I asked if it was negotiable. She asked what I had in mind, and I made a counter offer. She said she'd check with the VP and get back to me on Monday. On Monday afternoon, she called and said the VP doesn't usually consider counter offers but was making an exception and offered me less than my counter. I explained that I had to make a counter offer because we never discussed my salary expectations. I asked for a day to think about it and emailed my acceptance less than 24 hours later. I haven't heard from them since, and she didn't reply to my email or voicemail. I feel lucky, as if that's how they treat potential employees, they don't deserve my talents.
- What experience do you have with Outlook?
Executive Assistant
I interviewed with 4 executives, and the interviews took about 4 hours all in one day. I was interviewing for two positions, EA and EAII, but both positions ended up being canceled. I received an automated email from Taleo, but I never got the email or call I was expecting from the recruiter or HR person.
- Tell me about your proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
- Describe your approach to prioritizing tasks.
- How do you manage interactions with challenging individuals?
