So, there were four rounds total. First, an HR screening where they asked general stuff about my background and why I wanted the job. Then, Round 2 was with the hiring manager and a senior person on the team, and it was mostly behavioral and situational questions. Round 3, I talked to some junior sales folks, which was more casual and about team dynamics. The final round, Round 4, was with the big boss of sales for the region and the hiring manager's boss. This round felt totally different from the start. It was like, the vibe was just off, and I felt unwelcome. Once we were in the meeting, it was like I suddenly wasn't good enough or something. Their reactions made me think, 'How did I even get here?' They were super intimidating and only focused on what I *didn't* have experience in, instead of what I *did* bring to the table. I tried to just go with it, 'cause I know senior people can be intense, but it was clear they didn't really see me for the role. Even though the first three interviews went great, they rejected me with no explanation. Later, I heard they hired a fresh grad with zero experience. Makes you wonder if the process was even real or fair. And hey, management tip: that job was up for ages, and it felt like a massive search for the one perfect person. But it sucked to feel like my time and effort didn't matter. Please treat people like humans, not like toys.

This company wastes your time with fake interviewers who lie. All 5 video interviews felt like that. They use surveillance and know your other interview statuses before you even start, as one interviewer let slip on camera. Most interviewers were incompetent and arrogant, faking supportive attitudes and smiles. One lied about their high performance reviews and bonus percentage, which their performance didn't match. HR lied the most. Interruptions ruined communication, there were eye rolls, and a common sales pitch. One interviewer bragged about their house and gave a racist comment after mentioning benefits, while another clearly hadn't read my resume. Despite high benefits, the interviewers were fake and incompetent, and the rejection email was full of lies.

Friendly interviewers from HR and PMs for the CAP associates program. There was 1 HR person, followed by 2-3 PMs. The interviewers seemed to have their own way of having conversations, so there wasn't a fixed set of questions. It could depend on who you get. The CAP associate program seems interesting because you rotate between different business areas, from investing to HR, but it might not be ideal if you're set on an investment role. I think there are better investment analyst development programs out there.

So the process started with a recruiter reaching out, and then there were 3 rounds of interviews with the hiring manager and the team. Later on, I also spoke with management. The recruiter was really nice and always responded quickly, which was great. But honestly, the team wasn't upfront about what the job actually entailed. The LinkedIn job description talked about 'portfolio construction,' but the hiring manager explained it as just reconciling trades to make sure they fit the portfolio guidelines. In the second interview, the hiring manager called it an OPERATIONS role, but the first interviewer said it was a Portfolio Management role. I felt misled because they weren't straight about the job description compared to the title. It's basically a support role for portfolio managers, dealing with trade reconciliation, compliance checks, and other admin stuff. It has zero to do with actual portfolio management or capital markets.
