An external recruiter set up a phone call with the HR specialist recruiter. She was nice and efficient, asking mostly STAR format questions, with a lot of focus on my resume. She did ask technical questions, but her follow-up comments suggested she wasn't technically skilled enough to grasp the details, making me feel like she was just listening for keywords or timing my answers. The call was exactly 30 minutes, as scheduled. My recruiter mentioned that my 'project experience wasn't exactly what they were looking for' but that I was a 'cultural fit.' My guess is that a big company like this, with many recruiters and few openings, spends a lot of time interviewing without necessarily hiring. At least they only wasted my time on the phone, not requiring travel.

The facility is nice and new. The company has a strong culture that people tend to love or hate. Many experienced accountants are looking for better work-life balance. Compensation is quite good considering how hard people work. The company is looking for individuals to work in operations or accounting roles. To move into other types of positions, you would need to network into them.

It was a really easy process, the people I talked to were great, and the interviewers were very welcoming. Mostly behavioral questions were asked, and I got some good insights. They were very upfront about everything. I liked the interview process a lot, probably one of the best I've been through.
