I was offered the contract job and accepted it. Then I waited over 3 weeks for the SOW to be signed off, which took a while because it was during the pre-holiday period when things slow down. I thought, why look further if I have a good, long-term contract lined up? But I should have kept looking because they rescinded their offer without any explanation. This might leave me unemployed for a bit, as my current contract ends this year. Plus, all the job calls and emails have stopped because of year-end hiring freezes. My advice: if they offer you a job, DON'T STOP LOOKING! They don't seem to care about people they offer jobs to, so until your contract is signed and start date confirmed, don't quit your current job and don't assume anything is certain. Act like you have nothing secured. Good luck!

I was reached out to by a recruiter on LinkedIN about a position that matched my skills. Even though I wasn't actively searching for a job, I decided to proceed because Capital Group is a well-known company. I checked GlassDoor for company reviews and interview process feedback. Despite some negative comments about the company wasting people's time, I moved forward. The process started with me sending my resume to HR. Then, the recruiter had a 30-minute call with me and seemed very interested in moving me to the next stage, which was speaking with the hiring manager. After the second call with the hiring manager, they wanted to schedule an all-day interview at their campus, including lunch, and asked for my input on the format. Capital Group is known for its slow pace, and candidates often experience long periods of waiting, but since I wasn't actively looking, I just went with the flow. However, I started to get concerned when the in-person interview was rescheduled three times, even though I was very flexible. After the second interview with the hiring manager, I suspected they weren't genuinely trying to hire me but rather wanted to gather information about my current role and processes. Further research revealed the job had been posted for over a month and a half, making me question their hiring urgency and whether they were truly looking for a candidate. After the third rescheduling of the all-day interview, the recruiter informed me that the department decided to reassess their internal needs. This was still happening more than a month after the job was posted. That was the end of the process for me. They mentioned they would contact me if they still saw a fit, but I would have declined even if they had. As many have noted, I don't believe Capital Group has a clear idea of what they need, and they don't seem to mind wasting candidates' time and setting them up for disappointment. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone seriously seeking employment.

I had 2 phone interviews, the first one was more general about business analysis processes and methodologies. The second one was more technical, focusing on my past experiences and how I approached them. The face-to-face interview was really intense, they asked me almost everything a business analyst should know. Three interviewers grilled me non-stop for an hour, pulling questions from my resume and general topics, jumping around. They also asked me to use the whiteboard for diagrams and stuff.
