Software Engineer
The interview process was really something, with interviews scheduled at odd hours like 1am, 2am, or as early as 6am. During each round, they kept asking if I was okay with working late hours and talked a lot about it. I went through 5 rounds, including an assessment, only to be rejected. My second round didn't go well, and although they could have ended things there, they proceeded with three more rounds just to ultimately say no.

Sales Representative
I had interviews that went deep into my resume and past work. Then I did a mock role play, followed by another interview. After that, I visited their office for an in-person session that included three more interviews. It was pretty thorough, but I felt like they really got to know me. My recruiter was also very involved throughout, which helped me understand what to expect.

Customer Success Manager
So I interviewed for a CSM role and chatted with the hiring manager and one of her team members. It was about a 30-minute conversation, and they seemed nice. But, it felt like they didn't really know what a CSM does or what good performance looks like in that role. They said they'd let me know about next steps, but I never heard back, which was weird because the interview felt good and I thought I'd be moving on. It was confusing. Overall, the people were nice, but the whole process felt messy and they just dropped the ball on following up. A quick update would have been nice. My advice is to make sure your hiring managers actually understand the role and keep candidates in the loop. A simple follow-up makes a big difference.
- Can you describe your methods for staying organized?
SDR Manager
The interview process was not good. An external recruiter contacted me about the role and I had to follow up with them multiple times to schedule the initial meeting. The call was rescheduled several times. I spoke with the hiring manager for about an hour, but I never heard back from BrightEdge or the recruiter. The recruiter had given me incorrect information about the in-office policy; they said 3 days, but BrightEdge insisted on a minimum of 4 days. They seemed to be looking for a top-tier SDR Manager but had a very low value for recruitment experience. It felt like they were unsure of what they were actually looking for. I'd advise staying away to avoid wasting your time.
