Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Brightedge Technologies.
Account Manager
So BrightEdge's recruiter hit me up and we set up a call. It was about 30 mins, and I got a feel for the tech and the Account Manager gig. They asked about my past jobs and how I did. Then, the recruiter said I seemed like a good fit and set up a phone call with the hiring manager. That call was also about 30 mins, and we talked about my goals and why I was interested in BrightEdge. After that, I went onsite for a 30-minute demo with the VP and hiring manager. It was a pretty smooth process. The only downside was the whole onboarding thing with Talent Wise, which was a total pain and took forever.
- What's your approach when dealing with a client who wants to cancel their account?
Account Manager
The interview process felt a bit disorganized, and it seemed like the internal recruiters were focused on hitting a candidate number KPI. When I met the sales manager who would be my direct supervisor, he mentioned he joined the company because he was laid off and needed a job. The most frustrating part, however, was the lack of communication or response when I followed up. Ghosting candidates isn't a good look. Even if someone isn't a good fit, it's professional to let them know.
- What makes you enjoy sales?
- Could you introduce yourself?
Strategic Account Manager
It was a pretty standard process. I made it through two rounds of interviews. I was told I would be notified the next day about next steps. They didn't bother to send me anything and did not respond to my follow up. After two rounds of interviews, you should at the very least spend 45 seconds on a simple rejection email. It's not that difficult.
- What makes you want to join this company?
