So I interviewed for a CSM role and chatted with the hiring manager and one of her team members. It was about a 30-minute conversation, and they seemed nice. But, it felt like they didn't really know what a CSM does or what good performance looks like in that role. They said they'd let me know about next steps, but I never heard back, which was weird because the interview felt good and I thought I'd be moving on. It was confusing. Overall, the people were nice, but the whole process felt messy and they just dropped the ball on following up. A quick update would have been nice. My advice is to make sure your hiring managers actually understand the role and keep candidates in the loop. A simple follow-up makes a big difference.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

Got a Linkedin message from a recruiter. First call with them, then the hiring manager. After that, I had to do an SEO assessment quiz. Then I met with the hiring manager's boss. Then there was a prep call for a presentation, followed by the actual presentation. The presentation had two parts and was supposed to be 45-50 minutes, but I spent two full days preparing it. I presented to 8 people. The recruiter had already told me before the presentation that I would get an offer and that they really wanted me. After I presented, I didn't hear back for over a week, even after I followed up. Then, the next week, I got a generic rejection email. I asked for feedback because I spent 3 days on the project, but never got a response. Really bad business practices, very disappointing.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

It started with a typical screening call to make sure we were generally aligned. Then there was a series of individual calls. After that, we had a project that involved a presentation in front of a group. The calls themselves were pretty standard, nothing too out of the ordinary. Mostly conversational, with a candid Q&A session. Some behavioral questions came up, but it wasn't too heavy on those. The project was to look at a website for SEO and then come up with an account plan. It wasn't necessarily hard, but it did take some time to complete.
