I was emailed with some screening questions, and then scheduled for a technical interview. The interviewer seemed unsure how to proceed and told me to contact the recruiter. It started with background and 'why Blue' questions. Then, I had 15 minutes to debug a to-do list on an AI-assisted Hackerrank. After that, I was told for the panel interviews I needed to create a portfolio based on a previous internship project. In the three separate panel interviews, I never actually presented the project. Instead, I answered more leadership questions, followed by a technical assessment. The first panel focused on math questions about percentiles, the second involved a technical talk, and the third was a strange problem about counting children in a tree. I had to chase the recruiter for an update after two weeks.

I applied for the Manufacturing Engineering Intern position a few days before the deadline back in Sept 2025. A recruiter reached out in Nov 2025 with an interview invite and gave me a choice of several dates and times in early Dec, mentioning it was first come, first served. After I replied with my availability, I got an email confirming my interview slot. The interview itself had two parts: first, a 10-minute presentation about my projects with a 5-minute Q&A, and then the rest of the time was for technical and behavioral questions. It was conducted over Teams, and the interviewers would toggle their mics, which made it hard to gauge how I was doing. The vibe was super professional and strictly question-and-answer.

started with an intro call from the recruiter, then they looked at my resume. if it was good, i had one interview with the hiring manager, and then a prep call with the recruiter. after that, if i passed, there were 4 back-to-back 45-minute interviews. if i passed those, then an offer would be made. the process went okay overall, but the last part was bad. i got an HR person who was robotic, slow to reply, stubborn, and insulting. they tried to trick me by changing the job in the offer without saying anything. when i asked, they said they knew what they were doing because they'd 'been doing this for a long time' and the offer was final. they couldn't even explain the difference between the job i applied for and the one they offered. i obviously didn't accept and turned down the offer. don't get tricked by this kind of dishonesty; it lets them keep doing this.

The interview process was very long and had too many stages. The final day lasted 4 hours and involved a large panel with individual interviewers. A presentation was required in the last round. Most of the questions were not technical but behavioral, asked by all interviewers. One interviewer specifically seemed to judge my ability to lead a technical team as a woman, even mentioning a current female leader who is having a hard time.
