I was told I'd get a recruiter call for the first interview, but it turned out to be a technical call with engineers, which I was prepared for and went well. In the next step, the recruiter sent me a template interview request meant for someone else, with placeholder text still visible. Sending one candidate's personal information to another is careless. For the essay, I had to write about my passion for human spaceflight. I can't offer much advice as I got no feedback. The technical presentation was an hour long, which is normal, but this company insisted I leave my slides and pushed back when I hesitated. The one-on-one interviews with the technical team were positive. There were several last-minute changes to interviewers due to vacations, suggesting more internal communication issues or recruiter carelessness. I sent thank-you notes via the recruiters, as I didn't have the interviewers' contact info, but I doubt they were delivered given the earlier communication problems. After the interviews, I was ghosted despite multiple requests for updates, leading me to assume a rejection after 4 weeks. This lack of communication is unusual for companies, especially after reaching the final interview stages.
