So first I had a phone screen with the recruiter, then another phone screen with a technical recruiter. After that was a panel interview that was an hour long for a prepared presentation, and then I had five 30-minute chats with each panel member. They called me a couple days later and said it’d take two weeks. Two weeks passed and they said another week. About that time next week, the recruiter emailed to let me know I got the job.

The process started with a recruiter call to discuss salary expectations and confirm location interest. Then, a 30-60 minute phone call with the hiring manager followed, which could include technical questions. The final round involved a take-home essay on a provided topic, followed by a presentation on your background and relevant projects to a panel. The panel included future colleagues, the hiring manager, and an external Blue Origin employee for fairness. This panel interview, lasting about half an hour per person, covered role-related topics, presentation follow-up, and behavioral or technical questions, all conducted virtually via Microsoft Teams.

Pretty standard interview process. It started with a quick HR phone screen that lasted about 30 minutes. After that, there was a longer phone interview with an engineer. I was told the last part would be an in-person interview where I'd give a one-hour presentation to a group of people, and then have one-on-one chats with each of them. They got back to me pretty fast after the HR call. They said I'd hear back within 1-2 weeks after the engineer phone interview, but even after following up, it took more than a month to get a response.
