Blue Origin Electrical Engineer Interview Questions
& Process

It was a 3 stage process. First, a phone call with the hiring manager. Second, a technical phone call with the hiring manager. Third, a panel interview with 4 team members where I had to prepare and give a presentation about my resume and experience, followed by Q and A with the panel, and then one-on-one meetings with each team member for more questions.

There were 3 rounds in total. The first was a quick HR call, which was easy because I was told I was already moving forward. Then, the next week, I had a technical phone call with the hiring manager where we just talked about my resume. The final round was a panel presentation that lasted an hour, followed by a 2.5-hour block of 30-minute one-on-one meetings with different team members. Scheduling this took ages, and preparing was intense because there was also an essay to write. The presentation covered my past projects, and the one-on-ones were a mix of technical and behavioral questions. It was a rough experience because after a month of back and forth, it took another week to get a rejection with no feedback, which felt like a waste of time considering how much work it was for an entry-level job.

I got selected for a phone interview with a panel of Blue Origin engineers. They asked me some circuit analysis questions and about my experience. It was easy to talk about my experience but a little difficult on the circuit analysis questions because of where I was at in my degree path.
