This was my second interview with Blue Origin; I applied for a different role previously and interviewed, but didn't get an offer. I thought I was well-prepared for this Structural Design Engineer interview and that it went quite well, but I got rejected a few hours after. I'm pretty bummed but will keep trying. The interview was with engineers. I expected a technical interview, but it was pretty standard and smooth. It started with a recruiter call, then a phone interview with engineers. The third stage, which I didn't reach, was supposed to be a presentation about my work.

First, there was a 30-minute technical phone screen. Then, I had to write an essay about why I'm interested in humans living in space and prepare a presentation on two of my projects. Finally, I presented that presentation to a panel for a 3-4 hour interview, which concluded with some technical questions.

It was just one interview, about 45 minutes long, with two engineers. They wanted me to do a presentation about my experiences beforehand, then go deeper into a project. About 5 minutes on general experience and 15 minutes on a specific project. The rest of the time was mostly technical questions, with a bit of behavioral stuff too.
