I went through a selection process that was divided into 4 steps: 2 interviews with HR and 2 with the line management. Even though I got positive feedback at every stage, after the final interview I didn't receive any updates or answers to my follow-ups. Regardless of the outcome, I believe a process that lasted months deserves at least a final communication. The lack of final feedback or even a response shows little attention to candidates and a poorly structured recruiting management. Those who apply invest real time and energy, and recognizing that is an integral part of a serious company culture.

After submitting my online application, I was contacted by HR. We had an initial chat, and then scheduled the first interview where my English level and general knowledge were tested. Afterwards, HR got back to me to let me know the first interview went well and to schedule the technical interview, which took place a week later. The technical interview lasted about 1 hour and 20 minutes, and the questions were all related to the job description. They also checked my Excel knowledge.

I was contacted on LinkedIn by an HR person about an open position in their cybersecurity area. The first meeting was a get-to-know-you on Teams with the HR person, asking about my university background and future goals. After that, I had 3 technical interviews. One was with the manager of the technology area. Three weeks later, I had another with a manager from a different area (strategy) to see if I was a better fit there. The junior HR person didn't even know I'd already had the first technical interview... great internal communication. After that second interview, I had the third technical interview with the final client. Then I was ghosted after a 4-month selection process. The manager from BIP called me the same day as the client interview to ask how it went, assuring me he'd call the next day with feedback. Then he disappeared, even after I tried to contact them. After 4 months, they didn't even have the professionalism to give me negative feedback. Companies might think it's a waste of time to find, interview, and select candidates, but it's also a waste of time for candidates looking for work and preparing for interviews.

I applied on LinkedIn and heard back from HR really quickly. We set up a 30-minute chat for later that week. The reason I'm calling this interview tough is just how the HR person acted, like I was just another number, not a person. She also set up a Teams meeting but didn't say it was a phone call in the invite, so I had my camera on when she didn't. When I pointed this out, she just went silent and kept going without her camera. It was super awkward. She was also really robotic and cold, I honestly thought she might have been AI. The whole 30 minutes was uncomfortable, which is weird for the first person you talk to from a company. On top of that, she said she'd get back to me by a certain date, which has passed, and I haven't heard anything. Not hearing back after she set that expectation, along with the awkward HR interaction, was really disappointing.
