Legal Operations Manager
I went through 4 interviews for this role, which consisted of 3 behavioral interviews and one initial chat with the recruiter. It felt like a complete waste of time since I was certain the hiring manager already chose someone she knew from her previous job. They ghosted me after the final interview, and it turned out they offered the job to that person – a clear nepotism hire. It's frustrating that they put me through 4 interviews and then couldn't even bother to let me know I wasn't moving forward. Based on what I know about that organization, good luck to the hired candidate; she'll definitely need it.

Senior Recruiter
So the interview process was pretty structured, really thorough, but man, it felt like it took forever. Started with a quick chat with the recruiter, then I talked to the hiring manager. After that, there were a few more rounds of interviews, met about 5 or 6 people total. There was also a take-home assignment and I even spoke with the Chief People Officer. Everyone I met was really nice and thoughtful, they asked some challenging but fair questions that definitely showed me the company has high standards.

Customer Success Manager
The whole thing took about two months and was a mess. Recruiters gave me conflicting info on the number of rounds, and one virtual interview turned into an in-person one out of state with an executive, even though the CSM job was in NYC. I did like talking to everyone though. It was the most prep, research, and interview time I've ever put in. The hiring manager was super invested and even prepped me for the final interview with the co-founder. That last part felt like overkill for a non-leadership CSM role, especially after 5 rounds. I didn't get an offer, which was a shock since I felt prepared for every interview. For the future, I'd suggest 3-4 stages and a quicker timeline to respect candidates' time.
- Can you share an instance of failure from which you learned something?
Product Designer
My interview experience was pretty chaotic and I ended up dropping out before a panel interview. Based on the recruiting process, I'd advise running the other way! They rescheduled interviews multiple times without giving any reasons. I was set up for several rounds, but none of them included the hiring manager. I did have a good chat with a potential peer, but it wasn't enough to make me think it was a great team to join. The recruiter I spoke with couldn't give me any useful info about the job or the team. It felt like they were just reading from a script, even asking if I was cool with working 3 days a week in an office that, as I later found out, didn't even exist yet.
- Can you share a recent project you're proud of finishing?
