The interview process was very pleasant. The initial screening gave a very thorough overview of what the organization was looking for, and I felt very aligned with the values of the organization. I was moved to the hiring manager, where we had a deep and engaging conversation about the product being built and the experience requirements to bring it to life. While we didn't find a fit, I received a personal phone call to follow up on the experience to deliver specific feedback. I would absolutely consider interviewing here again.

The interview process was quite lengthy. It started with a recruiter call, followed by a behavioral interview with the hiring manager. Then there was a take-home case study that involved a presentation. After that, I had a series of cross-functional interviews with about 4-5 team members. The hiring manager then conducted another case interview. Finally, there were two interviews with executives to round things out. Despite the length, the people at the company were fantastic – really embodying a culture of kindness, making everyone feel welcome and passionate about their work. The recruiter, Courtney, was also great – professional, responsive, clear with expectations, and made the whole experience smooth.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The process involved a recruiter screen, a hiring manager interview, and then 6 panel interviews. One of these panel interviews involved discussing a take-home project. After that, there was an executive interview, and then a final interview with a founder/executive. I wouldn't recommend interviewing here. I got good feedback after the panel interviews and got to the final executive interview, but was then told the team was going in a different direction. The scheduling for the final interviews took way longer than recruiting said it would. For a company focused on scaling, this process isn't scalable. The hiring manager gave me feedback after each round and mentioned some concerns about my experience, but then why let me go to the final round if those were deal breakers? It took over 2 months in total. Some people were sharp and great, but the stress wasn't worth it unless BetterUp is your only option.
