I had a call with a recruiter to discuss the role and my background. I asked questions about the job, team, and company culture, and the recruiter provided detailed answers. The recruiter asked me standard questions about my experience, specific points I raised, and my career aspirations. They clearly outlined the next steps and kept me updated on the process. Although I wasn't selected for a second interview, I appreciated their prompt communication.

This was the most chaotic interview process I've experienced, even more so than some startups. They claim to have a great candidate experience, but here's the reality: expect around 7 interviews over 3 weeks. After all that, they might move you to another round of interviews, or they might not. So, it's a high-risk 3-week time commitment. They offer zero preparation for interviews, don't tell you what will be covered, and even switch interviewers last minute, making preparation impossible. They also assign a lengthy task that nobody seems to review. While the interviews themselves aren't extremely difficult, the questions are often bizarre or framed oddly, possibly to confuse you. Additionally, none of the interviewers showed any warmth; they were cold, seemed burnt out, and gave scripted answers about the company's mission when asked about their favorite aspects of working there, which was a major red flag.

The whole interview process lasted about two weeks. I heard back from them about a week after I applied online. The first recruiter I spoke with was really nice and made me feel super comfortable and gave me a good understanding of the job. The second interview was on Zoom. It felt a little weird, and the job seemed like it would be too demanding for me, so I was upfront with her about the working hours I was looking for (9-5). After I explained that, we parted ways amicably, and I was told a week later that I wouldn't be proceeding.
