Behavioral Case Presentation

The interview process involved meeting with HR, the sales manager, and the sales VP. There was also a round with a colleague to assess cultural fit. It was a fast process with scenario-based sales situations discussed with sales leaders. They really emphasized identifying cultural values, and saying BetterUp values back to them seemed to impress them a lot.

This company was super disrespectful of my time. They rescheduled the interview three times, and it ended up being 6 weeks after the original date. After all that waiting, I thought the conversation went well. They said I'd get an interview with the hiring manager if I completed the HireVue interview. The HireVue had 6 basic questions, then some weird math games and picture analysis. For example, they asked which I liked better: 'person sitting at desk' or 'person sleeping at desk'. Unsurprisingly, I got an automated rejection and they never scheduled the hiring manager interview. The math and picture stuff has nothing to do with actually doing the job. It feels like they're just collecting data for HireVue instead of looking at candidates.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview process spanned about a month, and I found the recruiter to be highly responsive, supportive, and upfront. Each interview felt distinct and well-thought-out, with no repetitive questions. I met with the Hiring Manager, a peer, someone from a cross-functional team, and focused on cultural fit throughout. The final step was an interview with an executive founder. There was also a situational assignment, which was actually quite enjoyable and gave me a good sense of what the role might entail – it took about 3 hours. It's clear they prioritize finding the right person for the role over just filling the position quickly, which speaks volumes about their commitment to company culture.
