The interview process was straightforward, but it didn't feel very in-depth. It seemed like they were just looking for anything and weren't sure of their specific needs. The interviewers asked pretty general questions and didn't appear to grasp the usual responsibilities or workload expectations for this role. Plus, they seemed a bit too enthusiastic about what AI can realistically achieve.

So basically there were 3 interviews for the Data Science Intern role. First up was a technical interview with a Senior Data Scientist. Then, there was a live coding session where I had to tackle two SQL questions and one data science question. The final stage was an interview with the VP of Marketing. Unfortunately, I got rejected after this last one.

You gotta submit your resume first, then there's like an initial screening, then a phone interview, after that a technical assessment, and then an onsite interview. Finally, they do a reference check. The whole point is to show your skills, knowledge, and if you're a good cultural fit. You gotta communicate effectively and confidently. Just prepare for the common questions they ask.

Technical Behavioral Coding System Design

So, this happened about two years ago. It involved a few rounds of interviews, which were pretty reasonable all things considered. They did extend an offer, and I actually accepted it at first, but then I backed out. I had some reservations about the company, and while they tried to address them, the whole process was a bit of a struggle. Ultimately, I had doubts about how stable the company was, so I decided to stay in my current role. Not long after, they started laying people off and offering buyouts, so it turned out to be the right call.
