It was a really long interview process. The first step was a recruiter screening call. Then, I had a virtual interview with the hiring manager. After that, there was an onsite panel interview, followed by an interview with the HR manager. I figured that last one would be it since I'd already met the hiring manager, their team onsite, and the HR manager. But nope, they called me in for a fifth interview with a manager from a different department. That's when I decided to withdraw from the process. The whole thing, from the first screening call to my last interview, took 3 months, and they still hadn't made a decision.

So the interview kicked off with a recruiter chat about my background, what I've done, and if I'm a good fit for the job. Then I talked to the hiring manager, who dug more into my technical skills and projects. After that, I got a take-home test to see how I handle and code up problems. Once I sent that back, there were team interviews, multiple rounds with the engineers, covering tech talks, system design, and how I work with others. Then another chat with the hiring manager to go over feedback, clear stuff up, and see if I'm a good overall fit. The last step was a talk with the Director of Engineering about the bigger picture, vision, and impact, and then they made the offer.
