Project Manager
The project management interview I went to a year back for an IT role was quite comprehensive and fun. It lasted for about an hour with a panel of three people who asked me different types of questions. This allowed me to show off my experience and knowledge well. I felt good about my answers, using specific examples from my past jobs. I didn't get an offer in the end, but I thought the experience was good for improving my interview skills and getting clearer on what I want in my career.
- Can you tell us about yourself and your background?
Project Manager
The interview experience was smooth and the people were pleasant, yet they were knowledgeable and knew exactly what they were looking for. Expect basic behavioral and experience-based questions. The HR department was very good at providing timely updates and responses.
- Can you describe a time you resolved a conflict with a person or a difficult situation?
- If you encountered a study or disease you were unfamiliar with, how would you approach learning about it and getting up to speed?
- Where do you see yourself in five years?
Project Manager
It was quite a long process, taking over 6 weeks, for a 6-month fixed-term contract. The first two stages were with the interim agency: a phone call and then an in-person interview. After that, I met with the future managers for 45 minutes. Then came a 3-hour case study to complete. The process wrapped up with a 30-minute meeting with the department director. About half of the discussions were in English.
- Tell us about yourself and your experience with one of the job's responsibilities.
- Could you describe your experience in omnichannel project management?
