Financial Services Professional
A recruiter contacted me via email about 10 days after I applied to set up an in-person interview. When I arrived, I found out it was a group interview setting with multiple candidates. The manager gave a 20-minute overview of the role, and then we had individual chats with him. My turn came, and I was rejected very quickly, in about two sentences, with the reason being 'You don't have any experience in sales.' So, it was basically a direct rejection in person rather than over email.

Financial Advisor
Got a call from a recruiter who talked about some openings and set up an interview for the next day. I was told to join a Zoom meeting 10-15 minutes early, but no reason was given. I logged in about 4 minutes before it started and realized it was a group thing with a presentation already happening. They required cameras on and a business-casual dress code. It wasn't really an interview, more of a sales pitch. They offered a $1000 sign-on bonus if I got licensed and talked about trips to the Bahamas. The person, Paul, was really pushing it, but I'd been through this before, which they would've known if they'd asked anything. Total waste of my time.

Financial Planner
I drove 30 minutes and dressed up for a 4 minute interview that could have taken place easily over the phone. It also seems that the person who interviewed me had already made their decision about me before I even showed up. I was told the interview was to “get to know me” but I’m not sure how you get to know someone in 4 minutes. The interviewer seemed to think I didn’t understand what the job was and asked me if I knew it was a sales job. Of course I did, which seemed odd to ask since I have clearly been working in sales for many years now. They also were writing down things on a sheet of paper with questions and wrote the wrong answers down that I didn’t even answer. Basically put words in my mouth. It didn’t even seem like he was paying attention to what I said. I was pretty much shoved out the door. They seemed to have their mind made up before I even showed up to the interview though and if that’s the case then I’ve lost before I’ve even showed up. It’s their loss. It could have been a very good fit but with this first impression, even if I had been offered the job I would have said no. It was sterile and impersonal. The interviewer did not take the time to get to know me AT ALL.

Sales Representative
I made it to the first round, which was a group interview. The branch manager chatted with me before it started since I arrived early. During the group interview, the manager talked about the company's history, our role, benefits, pay, and the training process. We then had to complete a questionnaire.
