Behavioral Technical

The interview process was pretty standard, starting with an HR call to check background, experience, and general fit. Then, I spoke with the hiring manager about role expectations, responsibilities, and how my skills matched the team's needs. The last step was a panel interview with several team members asking questions from their different viewpoints. Although the process was clear, it took a long time, about one to two months with several rounds, which needed consistent effort, prep, and patience. So it was pretty disappointing to hear the position was cancelled after all that time and energy.

There was one technical round where I had to do a live coding problem, which was a LeetCode easy. We also talked about some computer vision application problems and they asked about my past experiences and projects in computer vision. No behavioral questions were asked.

Behavioral Technical Coding

So I interviewed for a Sustaining Engineer II role at Zebra Technologies. It started with HR, just chatting about my background and if I was a good fit. Then, they set up a 2-hour on-site technical interview. This first technical part had a panel asking a bunch of questions on Cloud stuff like Firebase, debugging tools for Android, how to talk to clients, different ways to test things and API testing, plus how to handle security issues and fix problems. Then, the second technical chat was more about AI in testing/dev, my school and work history, and my data pipeline projects. They threw in some behavioral questions too, to see how I tackle problems and work with others. About a week later, I got the offer! It was a pretty thorough process, covering tech, AI, and behavioral stuff. Good experience.

Behavioral Other

The interview process was okay, with 1 virtual interview and 1 face-to-face interview at the Zebra Colombo office. But then they asked for my previous salary slip and pay information. This is really unprofessional and shouldn't be asked from candidates. Salaries should be based on merit, knowledge, experience and the job role/description. I told them I wouldn't share this info, and after that, I was dropped from the process, which is unethical and a waste of my time.
