There were 4 rounds in total, though I'm not sure if there were more. The HR team was great and responded quickly. But in the last two rounds, 3 out of 5 interviewers didn't show up, turning them into 1-on-1s. To make it worse, the people who did show up were not prepared. We waited awkwardly for people who should have been running the interview. It was weird to have so many rounds and then have staff not show up. Also, in those last two rounds, the interviewers seemed to have different understandings of what the role entailed. The final interviewer was from another team and admitted he was unhappy that someone else was getting the role he used to have. He even told me directly that I didn't want to work there. Dodged a bullet, I guess.

I applied for the job and then had a call with the recruiter. The job the recruiter talked about was very different from the description online. The salary was not what was listed, and they mentioned some software I needed to know that wasn't in the description. The recruiter got annoyed when I asked for clarification. I don't know if they were using the wrong description or if the one online was wrong. I didn't move forward, which isn't surprising, but the disorganization and attitude made me not want to apply to any more jobs at this company.

My recruiting experience with Beth at Transamerica was fantastic. She's one of the best recruiters I've encountered—very professional, communicative, and really focused on making things smooth and clear. When I told her I had another final-round offer, she quickly followed up and advanced me in the process. Even though I eventually turned down the offer, I was really thankful for the chance and had a great time interviewing with the legal team. It's obvious they've got something special going on at Transamerica, and I truly appreciate the time and effort they invested in the hiring process.

I was interviewing for a Customer Service Representative role for some life insurance product they're looking to phase out. The initial screening was fast and straightforward. The two interviewers were pleasant. I sent a thank you email after the interview, and the HR representative mentioned he'd pass it along to the hiring team and expected a quick decision. His reply was on 08/09/23, and the job started on 08/28/23. It's baffling how companies can just ghost candidates they don't hire.
