Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Transamerica.
Financial Analyst
I applied for the job and then had a call with the recruiter. The job the recruiter talked about was very different from the description online. The salary was not what was listed, and they mentioned some software I needed to know that wasn't in the description. The recruiter got annoyed when I asked for clarification. I don't know if they were using the wrong description or if the one online was wrong. I didn't move forward, which isn't surprising, but the disorganization and attitude made me not want to apply to any more jobs at this company.
- Can you share an example of when you had to juggle multiple tasks?
Financial Analyst
very quick and easy. Focus mainly on capability of candidate. very sociable and easy to talk to. Three rounds of interviews that are fairly quick. Process is swift and will have answer back quickly.
- Tell me about your financial background.
Financial Analyst
I sent in my application online and the website was really slick and responsive. First I chatted with an HR person, then had a second chat with the Hiring Manager. Following that, I was invited to a panel interview where I met the director, the team manager, and a few other analysts who work there, including the hiring manager. It seemed like a great place to work.
- Could you introduce yourself?
