So, first I had a chat with a recruiter. After that, I went into a technical panel interview with a few engineers from the manufacturing and process teams. We talked a lot about solving real problems, using data to make choices, and manufacturing stuff like OEE, making processes better, and finding the root cause of issues. They asked me to go into detail about my old projects, especially ones where I improved throughput, optimized yield, and worked with other teams. The panel really cared about practical thinking, taking responsibility, and if I could make solutions work for making a lot of stuff. They also asked some behavioral questions to see how I handle teamwork and changes in a busy environment.

I went through a 4-round interview process for an Operations Manager role in Hungary. The process involved several discussions with HR and business stakeholders, both online and in person. Still, the overall experience felt inconsistent and sometimes unstructured. One interview had to be rescheduled because the hiring manager was not included at first. Later, I was told I could reach out with follow-up questions, but the contact details were not shared as promised. I tried to follow up by phone, email, and SMS with several HR contacts, but never got a response. After I finished all the interview rounds, the process was closed with a standard no-reply email, without any personal feedback or final conversation.

Recruiter reached out to me with some questions for the team. I answered them and sent them back within an hour, and then they took 2 weeks to respond just to reject me... I asked around on discord and found 2 other people who got rejected for the role after getting the same email. What company rejects candidates that often just off a screening email? At least have the decency to get back to me fast, and not waste my time for 2 weeks straight while I’m preparing for the interview.

During the interview, I got a series of tough technical questions that mainly targeted the idea of impact in mechanical systems. To answer these properly, it would help to go through different mechanical engineering textbooks that explain the basics of dynamics and material science. Also, the interview atmosphere felt pretty unprofessional, since the interviewers were rude in a way that just added more stress. Their dismissive attitude made it hard to have any kind of constructive discussion.
