I first reached out to a recruiter on LinkedIn and had an interview a few days later, that was step 1. Step 2-4: Meet with the store manager, an owner advisor and a transitioning PS going to an OA role. Step 5: Phone call with the regional manager. Step 6: A FaceTime interview with another store manager. Step 7: Phone call with a recruiter for the final offer and details. This whole process was long, about a month, but if you show real interest in the company it will go well. Know your stuff and care about Tesla's goals. Overall everyone I spoke with was very nice and personable, and I was never really nervous about needing to impress.

Went through a 2-step process that started with a Skype interview with a representative from CA and then an in-store interview with a manager. First interview was really easy and mainly focused on why I wanted to work for the brand and briefly going over my previous experience. The second on-site interview focused more on my prior sales experience and more detailed questions on how I would sell different features of the Model S and Model X. I’d definitely recommend being familiar with the different models and features of each one and being able to talk in-depth about their benefits. Overall it wasn’t a hard interview, but a few outside factors threw me off when it was time for my interview and caused me to not perform at my personal best.

  • Tell me in detail how you achieved your sales quota in the "X" role on your resume.

Applied online in November for the Newport Beach, CA location. Didn’t hear back until mid-January. A recruiter called me to set up a phone interview. After that I had another phone interview with a different recruiter the following week. Then I had an in-store interview with the Newport Beach store manager another week later. After meeting with him, my recruiter called again to schedule a FaceTime interview with the Director of Sales for California. Nine days after that, my recruiter called to offer me the position. From application to hiring the whole process took about 3 months.
