First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TEKsystems.
Systems Administrator
I had a phone interview and then an in-person Teams meeting with the recruiter. They asked for references with phone numbers right away, which I found a bit strange. Then, I was kind of shamed for having a previous employer interaction that resulted in no interview. After that, they only responded when I reached out first. I had also applied to about 5 other jobs they had posted and just got ghosted. It didn't seem very professional, not even a rejection email. I'll definitely avoid TEKsystems from now on.

Senior Java Developer
I was contacted by a recruiter in late November 2025. They sent me two assessments, one for Java 8 and one for Java 17, with a one-week deadline. I submitted them on December 2nd and haven't heard back despite reaching out to the recruiter and the test creator. I suspect this might be just for KPIs as I've seen similar feedback from others. The Java questions in the assessments don't seem very practical for real-world issues, which others have also noted. I'm very disappointed with the lack of feedback and support.
- Did they ask about Java Core concepts?
- Were there any problems for code review?
- Were there any problems to find out what code prints out?
IT Generalist
My experience with TEKSystems has been consistently negative. Most recently, a recruiter ignored my calls after I asked to speak with them the following day due to being occupied with another job. Previously, I was pressured into a 6-12 month contract that was misrepresented; the company TEKSystems was staffing laid off the entire department just four months after I was hired, and we had to train our replacements. On another occasion, an interview was rescheduled and moved 60 miles from its original location. Other times, I received feedback like 'You were the best candidate... but the client chose someone else.' Dealing with TEKSystems feels like a cycle of mistreatment, with each interaction leaving me hoping they won't deceive me with another dishonest contract.
- Is now a good time to talk?
Patient Service Representative
The MRM contacted me via text and email the day after I applied, which was great. However, scheduling the first call involved a lot of back and forth, about five times. The MRM's approach felt a bit aggressive and unstructured, like they were new to recruiting. It seemed rehearsed and they didn't appear to have reviewed my resume. A particularly frustrating moment was when they asked about 'calls made' in a role where that wasn't a primary focus, even though I did have interactions. The recruiter left a negative impression.
- How are you doing today?
- What is your reason for leaving your present employment?
- Can you describe this role?
