Trainee Engineer
The whole recruiting process of TEKsystems was very smooth and transparent. I got the job description mail from my Training & Placement department about TEKsystems. I went through the job description and researched about the company. I had a good response about this company and engraved my thirst to join this company. This process consisted of 5 different types of rounds in order to get qualified. The 1st round was a basic online round and consisted of some basic questions from aptitude, reasoning, verbal and 2 coding questions. (the coding question were of bit medium level and i suggest everyone to practice on leetcode) Around 500-600 students were given the exam and 120-150 students were qualified for the next round. The 2nd round was an online Group discussion round. We were divided into groups of 20 and there were 5-6 groups created and the topic was about 'social media'. I never experienced such types of rounds and I enjoyed that round. After this round only 24 were selected for the technical round. The 3rd round was a technical interview round and there were 2 interviewers. I was welcomed and both were very friendly. The interview lasted around 90mins approx and only 3 questions were asked to me. Yes !! only 3 questions for 75-90mins… They asked me questions and then asked very detailed questions. If I count every single question then it will be around 40-50. (don't worry, the questions were very easy.. If you know the concept). I was also asked to write programs by sharing the screen. The programs are basically medium level. I didn’t remember the question but I can say it was using HashMap. (Make sure you have good practice in java’s Collection class). After the interview only 6 of us were selected for the final HR round. The 4th round was the HR round. It was a normal HR round. After finishing the round we talked about the working culture and about some scenarios. She was very friendly. After that it took 2 days for results to be out. and all of the 6 of us were selected.
- Aptitude questions included basic aptitude, reasoning, and verbal ability.
- Coding practice is recommended, with questions around the LeetCode medium level.
- Technical subjects covered Operating System, database, Computer networks, Data structure, and Algorithms.
Trainee Engineer
We started with a pre-placement talk, which was a ppt about the company. Then there was an online test with aptitude and coding questions (2 questions: 1 easy + 1 difficult). After that, we had a group discussion on general topics. A technical discussion followed via WEBEX/Skype, where they confirmed dates during the visit. This was resume-based and included project discussions. Finally, there was a final HR discussion via WEBEX, where they confirmed dates during the visit for a managerial interview. Tek systems is a core programming-based company, so prepare accordingly.
- Can you implement bubble sort on a linked list?
- How would you convert a graph to its Minimum Spanning Tree (MST)?
Senior Engineer
TEKsystems did 3 rounds, 2 technical and 1 manager round, in the first week of the month. They delayed the HR round until the end of the month and then suddenly put me on hold because they needed someone who could join immediately. It doesn't make sense because the HR person initially agreed to a 60-day notice period and scheduled all the technical rounds, and then they suddenly tried to cover it up with lies.
- Can you explain the difference between Sum and SUMX in DAX?
