Applied in September 2025 and after that completed some online assessments, then had an online video interview, and finally a face to face interview in March 2026. The whole process was organised and simple to follow. The interview itself was typical to this type of application; with a focus on existing knowledge of the company, some technical questions to test understanding and behavioral questions to test compatibility to the position. The interviewers were very welcoming and the whole process was overall very good.

My interview with Stantec Middle East in Qatar was a letdown. As a senior engineer with 15+ years under my belt, I was expecting a more professional and structured conversation. But it was cut short to 25 minutes because one interviewer had to leave for another meeting. It felt rushed, and honestly, it seemed like they didn't set aside enough time. For a management-level panel, I thought they'd be better at managing time and preparing. We didn't get to really dive into my technical skills, leadership background, or how I tackle problems. It made me wonder how they really assess candidates and if they truly value experience, depth, and technical ability. I hope they sort out their interview scheduling so future candidates get the time and professional respect they deserve.

Started with an online application, then a gamified test with arctic shores (balancing, impossible lock, and facial expression recognition tests). After that, there was a one-way video interview where they asked basic HR questions about values, why stantec, why this role, and when I'd been challenged. The final stage was an in-person interview with some technical questions, but mostly HR questions, asking for about 10 examples of when I delegated, succeeded, or used emotional intelligence.

The hiring process started with an HR call, then a panel interview with management. It was a pretty standard interview, and the questions weren't too tough. But the whole thing has been really unclear and dragged on forever, like over two months. I did a writing test and gave references, and the hiring manager told me I was their top pick. But then nothing. I checked the portal and it said I was no longer being considered. It was frustrating not getting updates and not knowing what was going on, especially after putting in so much time. Better communication and closing things out faster would make a big difference for candidates.
