First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Stantec.
Software Engineer
It was a 30-minute Zoom interview with two engineers. It was a pretty straightforward behavioral interview where they asked about projects I've done and the decisions I made. Overall, it was a positive experience.

Programmer
I applied online and had a telephone interview with one of the current graduate programmers. It was pretty chill and the interviewer was super nice. After that, I was invited to an assessment centre. It was really relaxed and not hard at all. There was a one-hour written exercise, a short presentation about myself, and a group exercise. None of which I could really prepare for. After the assessment centre, I got invited to a technical interview. I didn't get the offer though because I wasn't confident enough, but the technical interview felt more like a chat where they told me more about what the job would be like.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Senior Software Engineer
Had an HR phone interview where they asked some general questions about my personality. Then, there was an in-person interview at the office with several managers and my potential supervisor. It was a pretty relaxed chat, without any tough technical questions.
- Tell me about some technical questions related to your background and expertise.
