AR Manager
I went through three rounds of interviews. The first was with a recruiter in India, but the questions and info weren't super relevant, feeling like they didn't grasp the hiring manager's needs. The second round, with their manager and another hiring manager, went well. They asked specific questions about AR processes and system issues, and I discussed my experience with end-to-end flows from ticketing to accounting. Afterward, I did a quick 15-minute quiz and an offline case study, both of which I passed. The recruiter then congratulated me on advancing to the final interview with the CFO. That final interview was also smooth, and the CFO mentioned he'd inform the recruiter about the next steps, expressing hope I'd join soon. However, I heard nothing after that, not even after I sent a polite follow-up email two weeks later. It's been over two months with no reply. The process started okay but ended poorly, and a simple rejection email would have been nice.
- Were you able to give your full commitment to the role, even if it required 24/7 availability?
Infrastructure Engineer
The interview was pretty chill and informal. Since I was already a contractor with the team, the chat was mostly about my experience in the role so far and if I wanted to join permanently. We went over the work I’d been doing, the impact I’d made, and how I saw myself growing with the team. They told me more about the permanent job duties, what to expect with benefits, and potential career growth. It felt more like a chat for both of us to make sure we were on the same page about expectations and that I was good with where things were headed. Overall, it went smoothly and was a good experience.
- Do you know about the company?
Training Designer
So, the interview for the Graduate Training Designer gig at SITA started with a quick chat on the phone with a recruiter, just to see if my experience and background seemed like a good fit overall. After that, I got to talk with the hiring manager and someone from the learning & development team. They really dug into what I knew about designing training, if I'd used e-learning tools before, and how I could make training materials that people would actually pay attention to. It was pretty structured, you know, and they asked me stuff about how I handle situations and also some technical things. They also gave me a task where I had to design a training module to see how I'd tackle it.
- Could you explain your method for creating training tailored to various learner groups?
- Please share details about your background and experience in instructional design or how you've developed training programs.
- What methods do you use to evaluate the effectiveness of a training initiative?
AI Engineer
Response after a month for my CV, then interview. Interviewer seemed clueless. We scheduled an Online Assessment with a 48-hour limit. I had to chase them for the test details. They said it would take 3 hours, but it took me 10. I asked for clarification multiple times via email because the task was poorly written and questions were too generic, but got no response. After 2 weeks, I received a negative result, even though I was told the assessment would be discussed in an interview. Worst experience ever.
- Can you explain NLP like I'm five years old?
- How would you explain NLP to your manager, perhaps in the context of suggesting it for a task?
