I had a phone screen with the recruiter, then a call with the hiring manager which I thought went well. After that, there was a panel interview with team members that felt really awkward. I haven't heard back in six weeks, so I've been ghosted.

It was a 6-stage interview process. First, a phone screen with Talent Acquisition. Then, a phone call with the hiring manager's existing director. After that, the hiring manager interview in person. Then, an interview with the person currently in the role who is leaving. Next, a group interview with a peer from another division and a downstream stakeholder, also in person. The final round was a phone call with the Regional President. Each interview lasted about 30-45 minutes. Phone interviews were on Skype or a direct call. Overall, it was a really good experience. The job description was very clear. The Talent Management team kept me in the loop with emails, calls, and WhatsApp messages. They sent meeting invites and Skype links for all the phone interviews. Everyone I met at SITA was nice, professional, friendly, and on time. I got the job offer less than 24 hours after my last chat with the Regional President, which was super quick considering the contract processing is done in Europe.

The hiring process took about two months from application to the first email. There were two interview rounds, followed by two months of no updates. I emailed the recruiter a week after the interviews, and they responded a month later with an automated message stating they had found another candidate. Ironically, the very next day, the same job was being promoted again. It felt like a very unprofessional and time-consuming experience.
