& Process

The interview process was pretty standard. It was mainly behavioral questions, with a few questions about the innovation industry and what excites me about it and working at SVB. The structure included 4 separate 30-minute interviews with different directors across the bank.

Had an initial recruiter phone screen, which was good because the hiring manager had already looked at my portfolio. The recruiter wasn't totally clear on the process - I was told two rounds, but it ended up being three, with the last being a portfolio presentation. There were long delays between communications. I got to the final round, prepped, and didn't get an offer. It was fine not getting the offer, but then I got ghosted. The recruiter never called or emailed to say I didn't get it, which I thought was rude and unprofessional, especially since the process wasn't clear and the last step was a portfolio review that required prep.

The process was pretty fast, starting with a 5-minute recruiter call about salary and the general process. Then there was a 30-minute call with the 'hiring manager team', but it ended with only 2 minutes left for my questions because they had a hard stop. They didn't really talk about the role, just asked a few things about what I do. I was told they are transparent and I'd be moving to the final interview and hear back soon. Then, nothing. I reached out to the recruiter and got a vague email saying it was the holidays and everyone was out, so the process was delayed but would continue after. Five days later, still no email, but my status in the portal changed to 'no longer a candidate'. Nobody got back to my voicemail or email asking for feedback. I guess I dodged a bullet.

there are three rounds of interview, Technical , Managerial and the business owner round. Technical and manager rounds are much focused on your technical stuff that we work, but the last round was with Business owner related to the Scrum roles and behavioral questions, As a contract employee, I never heard of this round neither never expected to be my interview process, we come in to the team, implement what you expect deliver it and leave the office once it is completed. Working through the multiple orgs, people under the consulting role, works with different clients and different processes or riles set by the organization, I expect to set the expectations for the employee, deal with it.
