Recruiter reached out and set up interviews. Three rounds and they all went extremely well. I didn’t hear back after 3 weeks so I finally decided to follow up with emails. It’s been 2 months and haven’t heard back from anyone. Weird thing is, I was overqualified for the position. Not sure who else they found..

This was a really good interview process. The recruiter kept me updated within 2-3 hours after each round. There were a total of 6 rounds. The first 2 were technical rounds: the first was an Indian Panel and the second was a US Panel. The 3rd round was with a Senior Manager who was technically strong and asked me to design a microservices-based architecture for a given requirement. These first 3 rounds were about an hour each. The next 2 rounds, 4th and 5th, were with Directors from the US and India. These were shorter, 15-20 minute discussions focusing on typical managerial questions to assess my behavior and see if I'd fit the team. Finally, there was an HR round for salary discussion. The offer letter came out 3-4 days after the HR chat.

I had a couple of initial calls that went well. Then, during the phone interview for the software engineer role, the interviewer asked me a question. I started explaining my thought process as you're supposed to do in engineering interviews. But then, the interviewer cut me off and told me to just give the solution when I was finished. After that, there was about 20 minutes of silence while I wrote out the solution, and he just sat there quietly. I was completely disengaged at that point and no longer interested in the job. I let the recruiter know I was withdrawing my application shortly after. It was the worst interview experience I've ever had.
