Got a call from HR to confirm details like the internship ending without conversion to full-time, salary expectations, etc. Then, a 30-minute hiring manager interview was scheduled for the next day. It was supposed to be "some behavioral, some technical" but ended up being 60 minutes, split into 30 minutes of behavioral and 30 minutes of technical. The behavioral part had good questions and was very friendly. The technical part, led by a tech lead, covered high-level topics based on what I discussed in the behavioral segment. A week later, HR called again, mentioning another round with a director, but it wasn't clear if it would be behavioral or technical. The director round was behavioral, though very casual, likely checking for role alignment. Another week passed, and HR contacted me with an offer. I kept in touch with my HR rep for updates throughout. Everyone was professional and friendly, increasing my excitement for the role.

A recruiter had reached out to me months ago about another role. When I saw this new role, I reapplied and got in touch with her. She connected me with the hiring manager quickly. I had three interviews with the hiring manager, the COO/CFO of Samsung TV Plus, the Director of Finance, and the VP of Content and Programming. I had another interview set up with the Sr. Director of Product Management in a few days, but then the recruiter called and offered me the job because the team was already sold on me. It was really reassuring and made my decision easy.

The interview process was short and to the point. If you were interviewed by someone Korean, they seemed to focus more on your experience rather than your personality. Business casual attire is appropriate in California. For those of Asian culture, slacks or heels were not worn. Age doesn't seem to be a factor, as they consider both very young and quite old candidates equally. There's a high and rapid turnover here, so it's important to ask about the day-to-day functions of the job and how previous individuals have failed or succeeded in the role. You should also inquire about why the position is currently vacant.

The whole interview process was a mess and really negative, disorganized, and awful for me. My screener call happened an hour early, and while I was available, they didn't even mention calling at the wrong time. That should have been a warning. Later, during another interview, I was in the digital meeting room, and nobody showed up. I emailed to see if it was still on, but got no response. I called the recruiter, and they didn't answer or call back until over 30 minutes after the interview was supposed to start, only to say it had to be rescheduled. They didn't tell me until 30 minutes AFTER it was supposed to start. Then, when it was time to decide, it took over a week longer than they first said. Just a terrible experience, even though my interviews with the team members themselves went fine (when they finally happened).
