First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Samsung Electronics America.
Sales Manager
A recruiter reached out and then called me the same day to do an initial pre-screen. The next day, I got an email to schedule a video interview with two district managers. It lasted about 45 minutes. They asked questions about my past experiences, like working with a team, meeting deadlines, and how I organize and plan things. They really focused on that. At the end, they said I'd get an offer or a letter, but after a month, I heard nothing. I contacted the recruiter who connected me to the hiring manager, and that's how I found out I didn't get the job.

Sales Manager
I applied online and a recruiter reached out within a week to set up a video/phone chat with the hiring manager (RM). It was all behavioral questions, and I got to ask them some questions too. A few days later, I was invited for a panel interview at the main HQ in Dallas. The recruiter was really helpful with the arrangements, though I'd skip flying American Airlines next time as their flights are always late. The panel interview also consisted of behavioral questions. A few days after that, the recruiter let me know I wasn't selected, which was a bummer since I'm passionate about Samsung and the wireless industry and have prior DM experience. I guess they had a very specific profile in mind. Still, it was a good experience overall. I learned more about a brand I admire, met some great professionals, and saw the Samsung HQ. Regardless of the outcome, I'm grateful for the chance.
- Can you share an instance of when you encountered a sales obstacle and how you dealt with it?
- Provide an example of when you surpassed a sales goal.
- Describe a scenario where you had to handle a challenging client.
Sales Manager
Samsung really wants to ensure they hire the right people. The interview process had six stages in total, with the final one being the most challenging. It started with the usual HR phone screen, followed by interviews with the hiring manager, a peer, and then the hiring manager again. Next, there was a phone screen with the hiring manager's superior, and it concluded with an in-person rotation where I met all the team members.
- What makes Samsung stand out from its competitors?
- What are your reasons for choosing Samsung?
