The interview process was pretty straightforward. There were three interviews in total, with the HR rep, the hiring manager, and a senior manager. It took about 3 to 4 weeks from start to finish. All the interviews were conducted online and focused on discussing my previous experience, what I'm currently doing, and my overall skill set.

A recruiter I knew from Samsung reached out about a role. I was interested and spoke with her recruiting partner a week later for a screen. Then, a week or two after that, I had a call with the hiring manager. It was a good conversation with typical questions about the job. However, my negative experience is with Samsung overall. This is the second time I've interviewed there in 2018, and both times after speaking with the hiring manager, I heard nothing. They don't offer feedback or even an email saying you're not a candidate. I even emailed the recruiter twice, weeks apart, asking about my status, and she said yes. A few weeks later, I saw the job was closed on the portal.

A Samsung recruiter reached out about a role that was a perfect match for my background at a major competitor. I had two phone interviews, one with HR and one with the hiring manager. Then, I was flown to NJ for five scheduled interviews. Two interviewers didn't show up, but the other three went really well, in my opinion. I flew back the same day. After three weeks, I emailed them because they said it would take two weeks to hear back. They told me the position was closed due to budget. I get the budget reason, but it was pretty rude not to even let me know.
