First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Resmed.
Manager
I had a good first interview with the talent rep at Resmed, who was very informative and explained the next steps. After a delay of over two weeks, I was informed I'd advance to the next stage. This involved interviewing with two more people, who stated I'd hear back within two weeks and that the talent rep would be my sole contact. It's now been almost four weeks since that interview, and despite multiple emails, I haven't received any communication, even a status update. While I understand decision-making can take time, the expectation of a two-week response has not been met, leaving me feeling ghosted and giving false hope, especially since my application status still shows as active. I had high hopes for this role due to personal connections at the company, and I believe this communication breakdown is particularly tough for those who critically need a job.

Senior Role
I applied for a senior role and the first round was okay. However, it took more than a month after submitting my application to hear anything. I followed up after two weeks, but there was no reply from talent acquisition. Another month passed with still no response. After over two months, I received an automated rejection. The HR Talent team did a really awful job. As a senior candidate, I did not expect such poor handling of an application. What was also disappointing was receiving just an automated message after I had spent 2.5 hours in the interview.

- Some questions were typical for my field.
Test Automation Engineer
First, I had a screening with the recruiter. She asked me three software testing questions, and I was the only candidate who got them all right. Then, a second interview was set up with 3 people from the test automation team. I asked the recruiter if it would be technical, and she said no. On the day, the meeting link didn't work, causing a 10-minute delay. Turns out, it was all technical questions, even though the recruiter said it wouldn't be. Some questions were like, what's the difference between HTTP 401 and 403, or what file extensions are used for iOS and Android apps. One interviewer was really arrogant and kept turning his camera on and off. He asked me to explain object orientation concepts since I said I was an expert in Java. The question was really vague and seemed like he didn't even read my CV. He even mixed up my training in Agentics with professional experience. I almost ended the interview myself because it was so disrespectful. Even if I had passed, I would have turned down the offer because of how I was treated.

Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
I went through a few interview stages, which included a great chat with the QA Manager and another interview with two SDETs. The QA Manager was awesome, super knowledgeable, professional, and really nice. He asked a mix of behavioral and technical questions, and I honestly felt like he was someone I'd love to work under. The team interview was also a great experience. Both SDETs were friendly and asked thoughtful technical and behavioral questions, making the conversation feel smooth and natural. Sadly, I didn't get an offer, but I'd really like to join this team down the road. The overall vibe was supportive, respectful, and professional.
- A mix of behavioral and technical questions were asked.
