Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Resmed.
Sales
It was a standard sales interview. I started with a phone call from the recruiter, then went in person to meet the hiring manager. After that, I had a phone chat with a sales rep who worked for the hiring manager, and then a virtual meeting with the VP.

Sales Support
It was a long interview process with 5 total interviews. Started with a phone screen with HR, then a video interview with the hiring manager. After that, I had a face-to-face interview with two account executives, followed by another face-to-face interview with the hiring manager, which also included a one-on-one lunch. The final interview was a phone call with the area vice president. All the interviews were good except the last one. The person on the last interview had a really unpleasant tone right from the start, which was surprising since it was the fifth interview and I thought I was doing well. Even though my experience was great and I thought I nailed the interviews, I didn't get an offer because the other candidate sent a follow-up email with an action plan and showed more enthusiasm. I disagree about the enthusiasm part. The action plan was interesting, and after looking into it, I felt it was unnecessary given my experience. It just seemed to outline ways I could learn about clients I had already worked with and products I had sold. I think it would have been better if the company allowed the other candidate to respond to the action plan. It's a great company with a long process, but I think I was seen as Plan B. If a company this size can't get the information they need in three to four interviews, the process is flawed. Also, looking at other people with this job title on LinkedIn, it seems like they tend to hire women with very impressive backgrounds while men hired often have more basic experience.

The interview process was thorough but enjoyable. I worked with Charisse in Talent Acquisitions, and she was great. I skipped the HR screening because I was referred by an employee, but I had 3 interview rounds. After each interview, Charisse promptly updated me on the next steps, which I really appreciated. The process was smooth and not drawn out. The interviewers were tough but personable, and the process was challenging but not too much. Based on the interview structure, communication, and people, I rate this experience an A.
- Having a 30-60-90 day business plan was a plus.
