Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Resmed.
Graduate Engineer
We had this initial online virtual interview where I had to record my answers. Then there was an assessment day in person with other applicants, which included some group exercises and a final presentation. The second round was an online interview with the manager. After that, they presented the offer.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
Graduate Engineer
It was a 3-stage process, pretty mid-level difficult. First, a video round with some basic questions. Then, a technical round where I had to show my work. Lastly, a behavioural round focusing on communication and conflict management. They're a bit unpredictable and took about two weeks to reply.
- How do you handle conflicts?
Graduate Engineer
After applying online, there's a first round with a Section Leader or Senior Engineer which might touch on some stream-specific technical stuff. Then a second round with a Manager or Director, which is mostly personality and culture, maybe entirely so. Not much technical in the second round.
- What attracts you to ResMed and what's your understanding of our offerings?
- Can you share an example of an innovative solution you contributed to?
- Recount a situation where you had to sway a team or promote a concept.
