People Services Specialist
The recruitment process at OneTrust was such a refreshing experience compared to what’s common nowadays. From the very beginning, I received plenty of relevant information — not only about the company overall, but also very specific to the role. It made the process transparent and easy to navigate. The structure was clear and thoughtful: Talent Acquisition – shared valuable insights on the company, the role specifics, and even the broader employee value proposition. This really showcased OneTrust’s strong employer branding and set a great foundation. Hiring Manager – detailed and role-specific discussion, focused on expectations and opportunities. Direct Peer – candid perspective on day-to-day work and team culture. Indirect Peer – broader team alignment and collaboration outlook. Every stakeholder showed genuine interest and care, considering both sides’ needs. It never felt one-sided, but rather like a true conversation about mutual fit. Most of these stages took around 45 mins to an hour. Although in the end another candidate was chosen, I still walked away with an amazing experience that left me eager to reconnect soon for another role that better aligns with both of our expectations. OneTrust truly sets the bar high for how recruitment should be done.

Revenue Enablement Specialist
The recruiter was a bit late, but it was fine. The hiring manager was another story. They showed up late, wearing workout clothes, which I didn't think was appropriate. We started by going over my background, but then it got weird. The interviewer asked me to guess what kind of person they were, which felt like intimidation since we'd only been talking for 25 minutes and they kept repeating questions. I answered honestly, even making a joke about respect and control based on what they said. They didn't smile or ask if I had questions. At the end, I asked how they thought it went, and they said 'not great' because I didn't give different answers when they repeated questions, implying that answering honestly makes me bad at interviews.

Account Executive
The final stage interview process was quite a surprise. Just a day before, I was informed about a salary significantly lower than the market average. Despite this, I proceeded. The situation escalated when a CMO joined for a roleplay without any prior notification. This forced me to quickly pivot the product focus, even though I had no preparation or prior experience pitching such a solution to a CMO. Consequently, the feedback focused on my perceived failure to 'align the product' with their needs. While the people were pleasant, the interview setup was neither realistic nor conducive to genuine learning.

Support Analyst
I had a really bad experience with OneTrust's hiring. They said there would be four interviews, but then added a fifth one because my feedback on one was just okay. I passed that too. After all five rounds, they didn't offer me the job, saying they had to restructure internally. They weren't sure if the job would be in Madrid or London, but they said I was the only one they were considering. Then, they told me they decided on Madrid, but now there was another candidate, and it was between me and them. They said they'd get back to me, but I never heard anything again. I spent over a month preparing for these interviews and was really interested in the role, but it felt like they wasted my time and didn't value my effort. The lack of communication made me not trust their process, and I'd tell others to be careful.
